Hearts on Land, Fins at Sea

Two sea turtles will be released back into the Atlantic Ocean, around 20 kilometres (12 nautical miles) south of Faro, on board a vessel of the Portuguese Navy. After several months of rehabilitation at Zoomarine’s Porto d’Abrigo (Rescue Centre), another inspiring chapter comes to a close – one filled with challenges and achievements that have given them the strength to face not only calm seas but also life’s unpredictable storms.
UPDATE – River Dolphin Rescue Operation in Tefé, Brazil

The developing situation in the region remains critical, with volunteers from several organizations still actively monitoring the area, carrying out drills, autopsies and analyses, and maintaining a protocol for rescuing, treating and moving animals if deemed necessary.
