South African Fur Seal

It is found in the south and west of South Africa and Namibia.

Males of this species can weigh between 440 and 770 pounds, while females usually weigh around 260 pounds.

The species’ diet is essentially fish, molluscs and crustaceans.

They have long and sensitive whiskers (vibrissae) that help to comprehend their environment and search for food in darker waters.
